IT, Tralee has recently been allocated €500,000 to deliver a range minor and special purpose award programmes which will commence in September 2010. Nationally, 26 organisations were allocated funds, by the Department of Education and Skills under the Labour Market Activation Initiative (LMA).

The Institute of Technology, Tralee has seen a 17% increase in this years CAO applications compared to 2009. The significant increase in demand has impacted on the cut-off points for the majority of the programmes offered by the Institute. Approximately 70% of programmes have increased in points.
